Oz-e-English
Oz-e-English teaches language, spelling, reading and writing using evidence-based instruction.
Lessons are carefully sequenced and structured, have rapid reviews, checks for understanding and regular progress tests so students can consolidate and master critical content.
Oz-e-maths
Oz-e-maths works in tandem with Connecting Math Concepts to teach explicit strategies that enable students to master difficult ideas.
Connecting Math Concepts and Oz-e-maths lessons are carefully sequenced and structured, have rapid reviews, checks for understanding and regular progress tests so students can consolidate and master critical content.
Oz-e-science
Oz-e-science balances teacher-directed instruction with inquiry learning to boost student engagement in science.
Lessons cover all the Australian Curriculum sciences, encouraging all students to fall in love with knowledge, gain a sense of wonder about the universe, understand the power and potential of scientific endeavor, and make science part of their life’s journey.
Schools participating in the fully funded* program also receive:
- Access to the Great Teaching Portal, our online library of ready to use curriculum and teaching resources.
- Access to the Mastery Teaching Pathway, our online self-guided training and coaching pathway for teaching teams and instructional leaders.
- Teaching and Learning Instrument:
- Access to Leading Mate, our software that provides school leadership teams with the tools and data to self-manage their delivery of the implementation, track progress toward their goals and follow up improvement actions with respective teaching team members. Leading Mate includes:
- Continuous Improvement Framework allows school leaders and teaching team members to view and address persistent or impactful delivery anomalies causing drag on the school’s improvement efforts. It has a degree of automaticity that shows the problem, the impact, the correcting action required, by whom and when. They are always addressed through school leadership guidance and GGSA oversight.
- Support Centre allows school leaders to send requests for specific support through the online system, which triages the responsible coach who will action the support request, with leader having full visibility of the status and advice or action provided.
- Teaching Mate (SPT) provides teaching team members with the tools and data to monitor student progress and self-manage their delivery of teaching with levels of automatic analysis, so that they can interpret diagnostics and remedy their teaching and learning issues in the classroom.
Places are limited and priority is given to schools that meet the following criteria:

Schools that participate in the fully funded* Good to Great Schools Australia program receive:

- tailored product and service suite implemented through our three-stage improvement model
- planned support though each stage of the improvement journey
- professional development for all relevant school staff
- support to collect agreed baseline data

Great schools are those that have great teachers delivering effective instruction to every child. Good to Great Schools Australia uses our school improvement framework to support schools to make their improvement journey from Poor to Fair to Good to Great.
Good to Great Schools Australia’s pedagogical approach is called Effective Teaching. It is a synthesis of the most important features of various explicit and direct instruction pedagogies that have a strong evidence base.
Good to Great Schools Australia offers schools a Tailored School Implementation, which is a package of curriculum materials, training and coaching, and a suite of tools to enable data-driven monitoring. Each implementation is tailored to meet the specific needs of a school.
Eligible primary schools will receive a tailored school improvement plan which is fully funded* under an Australian Government initiative aimed at improving the English, Maths and Science learning outcomes for children in very remote, remote, and outer regional schools.

To participate in this program, schools need to commit to three years and participate in at least one of the programs on offer.
- Ongoing coaching and observations.
- Professional development for all relevant school staff.
School operations will need to support implementation:

- Regular and ongoing assessment of student data.

Self-paced professional development platform is delivered to the principal, instruction coach, teachers and teaching assistants.
