Unit Description
In Unit 4, the unit introduces students to important kings chosen by God and highlights God’s promise to David that his kingdom will last forever. Beginning with David’s anointing and reign, the stories trace his rise to power and the building of Solomon’s Temple, symbolising the strength of God’s covenant. Isaiah’s prophecy of Immanuel connects this promise to the coming of Jesus, whose birth fulfils God’s plan for an eternal kingdom, showing how Jesus is the ultimate King in the line of David.
Students will explore stories from the Bible using an interactive digital flipbook. This tool helps students unpack key elements such as character, setting, important themes and historical content, all while making connections to their everyday lives. The digital stories offer an engaging and modern approach to learning, allowing students to reflect on how biblical lessons can shape their understanding of values and faith in a relatable way.
