Part B, Unit 3

Character Development, Part B Unit 3 develops students’ understanding of belief, time and effort, and grit through structured lessons, real-life examples and practical goal-setting experiences. Students learn how persistence, repeated practice and responding positively to challenges support growth, resilience and achievement over time.

Unit Overview

This unit supports Foundation students to achieve goals by explicitly teaching belief, effort, time and grit through structured, hands-on learning experiences. Students learn how repeated practice, persistence and positive thinking help them improve over time. The unit builds confidence, resilience and a positive attitude towards learning and growth.

Learning Objectives 

In this unit, students learn about:

  • how belief helps us start working towards a goal
  • how effort helps us improve and get better over time
  • how practising regularly strengthens skills and confidence
  • how grit helps us continue when tasks feel difficult
