The Teacher Pathway sits within the Mastery Teaching Pathway (MTP) and supports teachers at different stages of their career to build instructional expertise, embed effective teaching practices with fidelity, and progress towards formal accreditation through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).

When teachers join the GGSA Membership Platform and select the Teacher role, a personalised Teacher Learning Plan is automatically generated.

The Learning Plan:
• tracks required prerequisite, core and elective modules
• outlines learning targets, milestones and average completion pace
• identifies required knowledge, skills and classroom practices
• records certificates of completion and mastery evidence.

The plan provides a clear roadmap for professional growth and progression across career stages.

The Teacher Pathway includes distinct courses aligned to experience and professional stage. Teachers select the course that best reflects their current role and aspirations.

• Mastery Teaching Foundations
For teachers in their first 1–5 years in the role. Focuses on building confidence, consistency and foundational instructional expertise.
• Mastery Teaching Towards Excellence
For teachers with approximately 5–10 years’ experience. Deepens instructional skill, data use and reflective practice, with opportunities to begin coaching others.
• Mastery Teaching Fellow
For teachers with 10 or more years’ experience. Focuses on mastery practice, data analysis, supporting diverse learners and contributing to school-wide improvement.
